Terms and conditions of sale
In force as of 13 September 2026.
1. Seller
IZ FIX, a French simplified joint-stock company with share capital of 1 000 €, registered office 37 rue du Luxembourg, 77580 Pierre-Levée, France, registered with the Meaux Trade and Companies Register under no. 918 169 400, VAT number FR85918169400. Email contact@iz-fix.com, telephone +33 7 68 83 39 28.
2. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern the sale of refurbished computer equipment and accessories by IZ FIX, to consumers and businesses, through iz-fix.com. Placing an order means accepting them in full. They take precedence over any other document, and the version that applies is the one in force on the day the order is placed.
3. The products
The Macs we sell are refurbished devices within the meaning of French decree no. 2022-190 of 17 February 2022: they have been tested for functionality, whatever work was needed to restore them to good working order has been carried out, and their data has been erased. They are neither new nor sold as new.
Each listing is a single, unique unit, identified by an internal reference and photographed in our workshop before it goes on sale. The photographs show the device you will receive. Charge cycles and battery health, measured in the workshop, are stated on the listing.
The stated condition — excellent, good or fair — relates solely to outward appearance. The 42-point technical inspection is identical whatever the cosmetic grade. Each grade is described in detail on our refurbishment page.
IZ FIX is an independent business, with no affiliation to or approval from Apple Inc. The devices sold do not carry Apple's manufacturer warranty; they carry the commercial warranty described in clause 10 and the statutory guarantees in clause 11.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes, excluding delivery. They include the environmental contribution applicable to electrical and electronic equipment. Delivery charges are shown before you confirm the order and are itemised on it.
Sterling amounts shown alongside are indicative only, converted at a rate we set manually. Your payment is taken in euros, on the euro amount. Your bank may apply its own conversion and charges.
Some devices are sold under the margin scheme for VAT provided for in article 297 A of the French General Tax Code. Where that applies, the invoice shows no recoverable VAT and says so expressly.
Where a struck-through reference price is shown next to the selling price, it is the recommended retail price of the equivalent new model at launch, not a price previously charged by IZ FIX. It is shown for comparison and labelled as such.
5. Orders
Ordering has four steps: choose the items and the keyboard layout you want, enter your details and delivery address, choose delivery and payment method, then confirm. Confirmation, which follows a summary screen, constitutes your order and your acceptance of the total price.
Because every unit is unique, it is withdrawn from sale as soon as an order is paid. If an item became unavailable between order and dispatch, you would be told and refunded in full within fourteen days.
A confirmation email setting out your order is sent to you. The order is archived and can be consulted from the order tracking page.
6. Payment
Payment is made online, by card through Stripe or with a PayPal account, according to the methods offered at the time of ordering. IZ FIX never has access to your card details: they go directly to the payment provider, on its own secure pages.
The order becomes final only once payment has cleared. Goods remain the property of IZ FIX until payment is received in full.
7. Delivery
The areas served, delivery methods, charges and lead times are set out on our delivery and returns page and repeated on every product listing. Orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 working hours of payment, unless a delay is notified.
Stated lead times are indicative and run from dispatch. In accordance with article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code, delivery takes place no later than thirty days after the contract is concluded. After that, you may cancel the order and be refunded in full within fourteen days.
Risk of loss or damage passes to a consumer buyer when they take physical possession of the goods. Check the condition of the parcel on delivery: if there is visible damage, record precise reservations with the carrier and tell us within three working days.
8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from delivery to withdraw, without giving reasons and without penalty (articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). How to do so, and the model withdrawal form, are on our right of withdrawal page.
You will be refunded within fourteen days of us recovering the goods, by the same means of payment. A deduction may be made if the device has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and that it works.
The device must be returned complete, with its accessories, and signed out of your Apple Account: a Mac on which Activation Lock is still enabled cannot be used or resold, and cannot be accepted back.
9. Taking back your old equipment
Under the French scheme for waste electrical and electronic equipment, we take back your old device free of charge when you buy equivalent equipment. We also buy Apple equipment you no longer need, even faulty: see our buy-back page.
10. iz fix commercial warranty
Every Mac we sell carries a commercial warranty of 12 months from delivery, provided by our own workshop. It covers any technical fault arising in normal use: handling, diagnosis, parts and labour included, return carriage at our expense.
It does not cover: breakage, oxidation and liquid damage; damage from a fall, a power surge, abnormal use, or work carried out by a third party; or normal battery wear, the battery being a consumable. Those cases can be handled as chargeable repairs, with a quote first.
This commercial warranty is in addition to the statutory guarantees below; it never replaces or restricts them.
11. Statutory guarantees
Statutory guarantees — mandatory information
The consumer has twelve months from delivery of the goods to obtain the benefit of the statutory guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. This period is reduced from twenty-four to twelve months because the goods sold are second-hand, in accordance with article L217-12 of the French Consumer Code.
During that period, the consumer need only establish that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.
The statutory guarantee of conformity carries an obligation to supply all updates needed to keep the goods in conformity.
The statutory guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to repair or replacement of the goods within thirty days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.
Where the goods are repaired under the statutory guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the original guarantee.
Where the consumer asks for repair but the seller imposes replacement, the statutory guarantee of conformity is renewed for twelve months from the date the replacement goods are supplied.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction and keep the goods, or terminate the contract and be refunded in full against return of the goods, where repair and replacement are impossible, cannot be carried out within one month of the request, or would cause major inconvenience.
The contract may not be terminated where the lack of conformity is minor.
The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect and no more than twenty years from delivery. That guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or a full refund against return of the goods.
These statutory guarantees apply independently of the twelve-month commercial warranty granted by IZ FIX, and at no cost to the consumer.
To claim under a statutory or commercial guarantee, write to contact@iz-fix.com with your order number and a description of the fault. We reply within one working day and arrange the return at our expense.
12. After-sales service
After-sales service is provided directly by the workshop that refurbished the device. There is no intermediary to contact. Once the warranty has expired we continue to repair your machine; our repair pages are published in French.
13. Personal data
The processing carried out to fulfil your order is described in our privacy policy.
14. Complaints and mediation
Any complaint should first be sent to us at contact@iz-fix.com. We undertake to reply within one working day and to seek an amicable solution.
Consumer mediator to be appointed
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In a dispute with a consumer, the competent courts are those of the consumer's place of residence or the place of delivery, at their choice. Nothing in these terms deprives a consumer of the mandatory rights granted to them by the law of their country of residence within the European Union.
